Adam Chinn is a partner of AAP. Prior to joining AAP, Adam was a co-founder of Centerview Partners LLC, a boutique investment bank. At Centerview, Adam advised Capital One on its $9bn acquisition of ING Direct and its $2.6bn acquisition of HSBC’s credit card portfolio, Dreamworks Animation on the formation of its joint venture Oriental Dreamworks and Ameristar Casinos on its $3bn sale to Pinnacle Entertainment.
Before joining Centerview, Chinn, as a partner at the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, advised on several of the most prominent financial institution mergers over the last decade, including the various transactions that led to the creation of Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan in their current form.
He joined Wachtell, Lipton as an associate in 1987 and was a partner of the firm from 1994 until his departure to form Centerview in 2007.
Chinn currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Young People’s Chorus of NYC and as a member of the Board of the On Course Foundation. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Oxford University.
